Our mission is to cultivate human flourishing by equipping children, families, and educators with beautifully designed resources that nurture emotional well-being, character, and lifelong wisdom.

Our books are designed to meet children where they are. Whether they’re working through big emotions, grieving a loss, learning kindness, or asking difficult questions, each book is created to help families navigate life’s moments with wisdom, compassion, and hope.

The stories they hear, the words they read, the art on their walls, the backpack they carry, and even the plush companion they hold at bedtime all become part of their everyday world.

Our Beginning
From Our Family to Yours
Like many parents, I wanted more than stories that entertained my children. I wanted resources that helped them understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, ask meaningful questions, and grow into compassionate, resilient people.
As I searched, I found very few resources that combined beautiful design, emotional wisdom, timeless character, and everyday practicality. I wanted something that could comfort my children through grief, celebrate joy, encourage kindness, teach courage, and help them make sense of life’s complex moments.
So I began creating what I couldn’t find.
What started as a desire to serve my own family grew into a much bigger vision. Today, A Sound Mind Collaborative creates books, educational resources, apparel, and experiences designed to help children, families, and educators cultivate emotional well-being, lifelong wisdom, and character that lasts.
Because we believe every child deserves resources that don’t simply teach them how to succeed, but help them learn how to live.
The word "Collaborative" is at the heart of everything we do.

While A Sound Mind Collaborative develops original books, educational resources, and experiences, we also believe in celebrating the work of artists, illustrators, educators, makers, and small businesses who share our vision for helping children flourish.
As our community grows, we’ll thoughtfully partner with creators whose work reflects the same values of kindness, wisdom, beauty, and intentional living. From handcrafted plush companions and keepsakes to artwork, educational tools, and meaningful gifts, every collaboration will be chosen with care.
Our goal is to build a thoughtfully curated collection of resources that encourage emotional well-being, spark imagination, strengthen families, and remind children that they are deeply loved.
